Welcome to Copper Cannon Outdoor Education Center
Situated on 128 beautiful acres in the White Mountains, near Franconia Notch State Park, Copper Cannon provides more than just a meaningful outdoor experience. The Summer Camp Program also teaches children fundamentals of good citizenship, moral behavior, respect for themselves and others, and strives to instill a sense of self-esteem and pride.
Copper Cannon Alumni
are you one?
It has been almost 45 years since the first camper was invited to Copper Cannon Camp. Since then, over 14,000 children have experienced Ham Ford's vision. For many, the memories are burning bright and the camp songs ringing in their ears.
Our goal is to start to reconnect with those campers and the staff who made a difference in the lives of the children. We want to share the stories of Copper Cannon, the impact it has had on different individuals, and reinstall that camp magic.
If you have stories or pictures to share, please contact Copper Cannon at 603-823-8107 or through e-mail at alumni@copperannon.org We have an on-line survey at www.surveymonkey.com to help us see the impact Copper Cannon has had on the lives of its participants. As well, we will be creating a newsletter for alumni sharing stories, photos, volunteer opportunities and upcoming events. Click Here to take survey
With the help of our alumni, Copper Cannon Camp will be able to continue providing a free summer camp experience for New Hampshire youth.
The Summer Camp Program for New Hampshire children, is free for less fortunate youth ages 9 - 16, whose household income does not exceed financial guidelines. Each week-long session can accommodate 42 children, who enjoy activities such as hiking, sports, arts and crafts, nature studies, swimming, archery, field trips, skits, and conservation projects.
